For the better part of this decade, Omaha multi-instrumentalist David McInnis has backed bands like Centerpiece, Timecat and Congruency on the drums, showing a knack for adapting to those bands’ varying sounds, from post-hardcore to alt-country. While in those bands, McInnis posted videos on Instagram from behind a piano, playing lively rhythms with earnest vocals that served up tastes of baroque and indie pop.
